In order for us to complete our production work, we used many different technologies in order to make our thriller opening and to distribute it.
During the start of our thriller opening (pre-production), we firstly started off by creating a blog so that we can upload all of our work onto it. Before constructing our thriller opening, we had to research the background of a thriller film and got ideas on what goes into a thriller movie.
Production: In order to film we used a Canon DSLR 650D. This high-street brand camera allowed us to do many things such as gain high camera quality. We had to learn many of the features such as rule of thirds, white screening and the sound control, which in the end gave us a lot of experience and ways on how to work it. At times when filming, we had used the tripod to give a smooth finish and work but also at times handheld the camera so that it can put the audience at a better view for the film.
Post Production: During post production, we used Final Cut Pro in order to edit our film on the Mac. Although at first it was quite hard to understand and use, but from the practice we had from our preliminary task it was made quite easy to understand. More and more practice enabled us to get a hang of the editing app. There we many filters, sounds and effects available to make our film opening really good.
